Chasing Beth

In Chasing Beth, war injuries have left journalist Joel suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Nevertheless, he accepts a commission to profile a vigilante he thinks may be connected to his own history. What kind of connection could he have? Is it possible that the two of these men have a sordid past that will somehow stoke past fires of either resentment or respect?
